Tired Update

In response to the information shared yesterday, our Chairman Mr. Sullivan had this to say:

I then contacted the NDEE Inspection and Compliance Division Administrator, Brad Pracheil, regarding the noncompliance issue. He stated that a response letter was received the day prior from Mr. P. Langer and that according to his plan of action, both facilities would be within compliance by the end of the year. Mr. Pracheil explained that while he is personally unhappy with the continued noncompliance, that his department is working with the tools they are provided to request compliance as technically, the new owner had not had the same issue as previous ownership had. A simple GIS search of those properties has a pretty clear trail behind it on ownership and it doesn’t go far down the line. Once again, more time will be allowed to collect more tires in two facilities across our state and there are only so many tools our state’s EPA department has access to in order to encourage compliance.

It’s no wonder that the pollution in Mead got as bad as it did.

With that being said, it seems as though our Chairman of the Board isn’t too interested in much of what is actually going on, which is too bad really. Alvo could sure use some altruistic leadership instead of a pack of lap-dogs. But we’re stuck with the tire mountain until at least the New Year. I’ll leave a downloadable PDF file for your discernment and for now, I hope everyone enjoys the weekend and gets out to meet your neighbors.
